Arrigoni didn’t talk to journalists after the game in order to continue a superstitious ritual he has undergone for years, of ignoring post-match Press conferences if his team has won away from home.
However, he took the opportunity on Tuesday after returning to training to warn his Cesena players that despite their better performances, the club's overall goal has yet to be achieved.
“It was an important win, it increases self-esteem, and belief, but we must stay calm – if the season ended today then we would be in Serie B.
“Of course I received the answers I had hoped for, all of the team produced a great performance, not only [Adrian] Mutu for his magnificant goal.
“We must always perform in the right way, to express the class we have, which is immense.”
Arrigoni was then asked about the long-standing belief that his alliegiences as a fan lie with Inter, who visit the Stadio Dino Manuzzi next Sunday.
“My team, and everyone knows it, has always been Cesena, where I grew up, I played and now I coach. Then, now, forever.
“For 10 years I have also cheered for Inter in order to create controversy and discussion in the bar that I frequent where everyone else supports Juventus” data-scaytid=”12″>Juventus or Milan.”
