There were rumours in the Italian media this week that Inter had turned down a €20m offer from the London club.
However, this evening Sky Sport Italia claim that Nerazzurri technical director Marco Branca met with Anzhi representatives at the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan.
The offer from Anzhi was brought by intermediary Vlado Lemic, who was also attending today’s meeting between Milan and Carlos Tevez’s agent Kia Joorabchian.
Inter are already seeking a replacement for Guarin, as Cagliari confirmed talks with Branca over Radja Nainggolan.
“We had a nice chat,” said Cagliari President Massimo Cellino.
