Luca Antonini has again reiterated his desire to end his career with current club Milan.
“I never want to leave this team,” he told Forza Milan. “I want to finish my playing days with the Rossoneri.”
The left-back, now 29, is contracted to the outfit until 2014. The defender is a product of the Diavolo’s youth system who returned to Milanello in 2008 after spells with eight different clubs.
Antonini appeared in 27 games this season in total across all competitions – Serie A, Coppa Italia and the Champions League.
In the same interview, he also praised the ability of boss Massimiliano Allegri despite not always being a part of his plans.
“I’ve always been convinced by Allegri, even when I wasn’t being called up,” he added. “I never gave up though and just worked in silence.
“One of Allegri’s best abilities is that he isn’t conditioned by anything. If you work hard in training then he’ll give you a chance in the starting XI.”
