There have been another 126 Coronavirus deaths in the Lombardy region alone over the last 24 hours, taking the total for that region to 743, with 605 in intensive care.

The stringent measures putting all of Italy into lockdown are not going to affect the spread of the illness yet, but Lombardy remains the epicentre of the epidemic.

The latest figures released this afternoon show that there have been another 126 deaths over the last 24 hours, so 743 in total, all over the last 20 days.

The latest figures released this afternoon show that there have been another 126 deaths over the last 24 hours, so 743 in total, all over the last 20 days.

There have been 8,725 positive tests in the region, with over 4,200 in hospital and another 605 in intensive care.

The figures for the whole of Italy will be released soon.
