Roma Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli praised Alessandro Florenzi and stood up for Pablo Daniel Osvaldo ahead of Sunday’s match with Parma.
“This is a particularly crucial game, as it comes before a break for international duty,” he said in his Press conference. Click here for a match preview of the 19.45 GMT kick-off.
“We know full well how important this is and must put all our energy into getting the victory. We wanted the win away to Udinese as well, but sometimes things don’t go the way you planned them.
“I know some critics blamed Osvaldo for that late miss in Udine, but he did everything he could and his teammates missed big chances too. He trained throughout the week and was every bit as energetic and hungry as his teammates.
“Florenzi has great versatility and gives his best when he can see a gap to run towards goal, as he has a quick mind and eye for goal that are beyond the norm. It is a pleasure to work with a player who can cover so many roles.”
Vasilis Torosidis is out injured for this game, joining Miralem Pjanic and Mattia Destro on the treatment table.
“We could bring back the three-man defence. That is an option.”
Andreazzoli has won earned three wins, a draw and a debut defeat on the Roma bench since replacing Zdenek Zeman last month, bringing the team to seventh place.
“Where can we get to? In my eyes the future is only and exclusively the match with Parma. You journalists keep asking me about the Champions League, but at this moment few would believe me, as there are quite a few sides in front of us.
“If I talk about other objectives, then I get labelled as someone who aims low and would be content with very little. I do not have any targets, as I take it one day at a time.”
