Aurelio Andreazzoli admits he was “really disappointed” by Roma’s performance and attitude in a 1-1 home draw with bottom of the table Pescara.
The Giallorossi had gone behind and risked conceding again right to the end at the Stadio Olimpico.
“It was a difficult day for us. We are forced to repeat the same things over and over again, as we get important results and then collapse on ourselves,” warned the Coach just days after reaching the Coppa Italia Final.
“I’ve seen it happen a thousand times and I was right to warn yesterday in the Press conference that we shouldn’t get distracted ahead of this game. I knew the dangers Pescara presented.
“We cannot afford an attitude like this, I am really disappointed. I didn’t think what happened to us in Palermo could happen again, but it did.
“When you interpret these matches with the attitude that the result will sort itself out, then of course you struggle. In the second half we woke up a bit and perhaps deserved the win, but I didn’t like the performance.”
Mattia Destro came off the bench and scored, days after his brace against Inter in the Coppa Italia.
“Destro is a complete striker, courageous with good technique, but right now he is only playing at 60 per cent capacity due to the injury.”
