There are conflicting reports about Carlo Ancelotti, but the Corriere dello Sport believes he has agreed a deal with Napoli.
Maurizio Sarri is expected to leave the Partenopei, and another club can free him from his contract for €8m before the end of this month.
Ancelotti has been touted as a potential successor, and there were reports yesterday that he’d use his time in Italy for Andrea Pirlo’s farewell game to negotiate with President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

Ancelotti has been touted as a potential successor, and there were reports yesterday that he’d use his time in Italy for Andrea Pirlo’s farewell game to negotiate with President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
Now the Corriere dello Sport is reporting that a deal is done, and the only thing that could stop things is Sarri staying, which is seen as highly unlikely.
“I still can’t believe it,” Ivan Zazzaroni writes, “but over many years this source has never given me wrong information.”
He claims that De Laurentiis hasn’t approached anyone else, while a lawyer from Parma has been in contact with the Partenopei for the last week.
Carletto had been waiting for an offer from Arsenal but that never arrived, and he's happy to return to Italy.
However, Sky Italia is reporting that a deal is “very difficult but not impossible”, while Mauro Suma of Milan TV insists Ancelotti rejected Napoli.
