Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has given his opinion on a number of issues in Italian football, including the national team and Marco Verratti.
In light of Antonio Conte’s falling out with Cesare Prandelli, the Blancos tactician believes that club Coaches should back the Azzurri man, and has warned the Paris Saint-Germain to be patient.
“The calendar and the intensity of the games means that there is always going to be conflict between club and national Coaches,” he told La Stampa.
“Coaches are always willing to give a hand, but when one affects the other, it becomes more difficult.
“I think the national team is the highest point in Italian football, so everyone should try and help Prandelli.
“It’s hard to get into the Italy midfielder because it’s so crowded. But Verratti definitely has the personality to do well.
“This period now will serve as an experience to him in the future.
“At Real Madrid I have a phenomenon like Jese, but he’s sometimes had to settle for a place on the bench.”
