PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti won’t rule out a return to “my family” Milan and praises Fiorentina Coach Vincenzo Montella.

The former Chelsea boss spoke to the Corriere della Sera newspaper about his current situation in France.

“We changed our tactical system this season and Thiago Motta returned, but Marco Verratti remains an excellent signing,” said Ancelotti.

“There has been talk of me returning to Milan, but I have an excellent rapport with the club and they are my family, so…”

He is still keeping an eye on his old club and their attempts to rebuild.

“The 4-2 defeat to Roma was a heavy one and will be difficult to absorb, as Milan had been fighting back. Fortunately the Christmas break came at the right time.

“Stephan El Shaarawy is a modern player and, along with Mattia De Sciglio, he represents the future of the club.”

Many figures left San Siro in recent years, including Gennaro Gattuso, Clarence Seedorf, Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“I think Gattuso is the most likely to make his return to Milan, as Rino is more than anyone still emotionally attached to the club.”

Ancelotti also cast his eye over the rest of the current Serie A landscape.

“Roma are a young and well-constructed team with great potential, but there is the unknown quantity of their lack of experience.

“Fiorentina are very impressive and I really like Montella. He has shown quality, capability and intelligence. I admire the way he presents himself, as he is always very calm and never tries to wind people up.

“Italian football needs personalities like this.”
