PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti has a very special dream for the Champions League Final: “I’d love to face Milan.”
The former Rossoneri Coach won the trophy twice at San Siro and his Paris Saint-Germain have impressed in the group phase.
“Milan are in a transitional phase, but have made the most out of talents like Stephan El Shaarawy and Mattia De Sciglio,” Ancelotti told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“I hope I won’t draw them in the Round of 16, but I’d love to face Milan in the Final. That is not a dream, either.
“In Serie A Juventus are a step above, though I see Napoli as the team best equipped to challenge them. Inter have changed too much for a title push this season.”
While PSG have impressed in the Champions League, they have stuttered in Ligue 1 and are falling off the title pace.
“No, I am not happy with the way the season is going and neither are the club owners, although they did reassure me. There are so many expectations around PSG and consequently rumours too, but rumours do not always point to the truth.
“I have a strong rapport with Leonardo and never feared I would be sacked. We’ve lacked group spirit so far, but that’s normal considering there are 15 new players. The project is ambitious, PSG have history and it would be wonderful for me to help them win something.”
After signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva, PSG have been linked with a January swoop for Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi.
“There will be no further arrivals in January other than Lucas Moura.”
