Carlo Ancelotti says it's 'an honour' to be appointed Bayern Munich's Coach: 'I didn't consider any other offer'.
The official appointment of the Italian on the German club's bench has far-reaching consequences for football in Europe.
Not only does it free up Pep Guardiola for a possible assignment next season, which may well involve a Serie A club, it removes one of the most touted candidates to succeed Antonio Conte as the Azzurri Coach.

Ancelotti himself welcomed the three-year contract with a statement released in multiple languages through his Twitter profile.
“It's an honour for me to be a part of this great club next season, FC Bayern Munich,” reads the statement.
“When I knew of this club's interest I didn't want to consider any other offer.
“I honestly wish FC Bayern Munich and my friend Pep Guardiola the best for the current season.
“I wish a merry and peaceful Christmas and a happy new year to all Bayern's fans and to all of you.”
