Former Milan 'keeper Marco Amelia says “there are no goalkeepers” like Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The 17-year-old has been the Rossoneri’s first-choice for over a year, and has already made his debut for Italy.
“Gigio has his own identity,” Amelia told Milan TV.
“There are no goalkeepers like him. He shouldn’t be compared to others, he has to keep doing what he does for the team.
“It’s normal that even the best goalkeepers make mistakes, but in most things he’s showing great things.

“He’s showing great personality, it’s not easy to play at San Siro in the Rossoneri shirt. Gigio is proving to be a champion, not just from a football point of view but in terms of his attitude.
“He’s proving that’s he’s worthy of a team like Milan.”
The Diavolo take on Roma this weekend, and Amelia believes that match could determine which side is best-equipped to compete for the Scudetto.
“These are two teams who are getting results who can put on a show. A win for either team could launch them stably into second place behind Juventus.
“I think both Coaches are very careful from a tactical point of view and won’t give much away.
“It’s more important for Roma, in my opinion, but Milan are in [joint] second-place right now, and a good result at the Olimpico would be fundamental.”
