“If a Mr X does arrive then it is obvious that he will be a player of value, an important one,” the tactician noted.

The presumed identity of the transfer target has evolved over the summer to include the likes of Marek Hamsik and Cesc Fabregas.
Mr X is believed to be a left-sided midfielder, but former Rossoneri sensation Kaka has also been suggested as a possibility.
“Kaka remains a great player for me,” Allegri added of the Real Madrid playmaker who has had his struggles in Spain.
“But everyday a different name comes out in relation to Milan. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.”
Milan left it late in the window last summer too when they swooped for Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
