Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri confirms Dusan Vlahovic and Manuel Locatelli are not available for tomorrow’s match against Lecce.
The Bianconeri visit the newly-promoted team after facing Champions League elimination in the group stage earlier this week.
Vlahovic was subbed off due to a muscle problem on Tuesday’s match against Benfica and is not available against the Giallorossi.
“He still has problems at his adductor, so, in the last minute, he didn’t recover,” said Allegri.
“Locatelli is out for personal reasons, the others are available.”
The list of available players does not include Federico Chiesa, Paul Pogba, Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes.
Allegri said that Pogba and Chiesa wouldn’t be involved in the Champions League match against PSG in Turin on Wednesday and will be ‘99% out’ against Inter in Serie A next week.
“We have enough players for tomorrow’s game [against Lecce],” Allegri continued. “Lecce are an organised team with fast strikers. It is never easy to play against them, we need to react and bring the rage we have until the end of the season.
“There will be 19 players available, 16 outfield and three goalkeepers. They are enough. We are ready to play this game. In these situations, the team becomes united and everyone will do more to gain a result.”
Vlahovic is Juventus’ best scorer this season, followed by Arek Milik. The Poland international is expected to start in attack with Moise Kean tomorrow.
“Kean played some good games, he is in good form,” said Allegri.
“It is important to play as a team tomorrow and be solid. We need to have self-belief, we can’t go backward, and only the next game will give us a different perception of things. Now we have 12 days and then everyone will be available [in 2023] helping those who have played more to rest.”
Juventus won the last two Serie A games against Torino and Empoli and are ten points behind table leaders Napoli after five wins, four draws and two defeats in 11 league matches this term.
