Raul Albiol appears set to renew his Napoli contract until 2021, despite links to Villarreal.
The Spaniard has a €6m release clause which expires on Saturday, and was believed to be close to a return to his homeland.
Now though Sky Italia is reporting that he will instead sign a new contract with the Partenopei, extending his deal until 2021.
It’s not clear if there will still be a release clause in that contract, but it appears that Albiol will not be leaving Naples this summer.
