Roma rejected offers from Inter, England and China for Edin Dzeko and now he’s finally delivering, said the Bosnian’s agent.
Dzeko missing chances turned into a running joke in Serie A last season, but this term he has 10 goals in as many games.
“Edin is a great player, first and foremost,” representative Silvano Martina told Gazzamercato.it.
“The first season in a new league can be difficult for anyone. Just look at Simone Zaza at West Ham, where he’s paying a heavy price for those struggles.

“There was also a coincidence last term, as Roma tended to score two goals per game with a False Nine. This time around, things are going differently.”
Martina confirms rumours that Dzeko had received several proposals over the summer, including from Roberto Mancini’s Inter.
“It’s true, the Nerazzurri wanted him in case Mauro Icardi left, but they were not in the condition to make a big investment for Dzeko.
“As far as the Giallorossi were concerned, he was not on the market either. From what I know they received offers from England and one from China. The Chinese proposal was €30m to Roma and €15m per year for Dzeko.
“Roma made it clear they would only sell Edin if the player himself requested it. If Dzeko had asked to change club, then there would’ve been a very strong chance of him moving on.
“He chose to remain at Roma and prove to everyone what a great player he is. He scored a lot in pre-season and could’ve had even more than the 10 Serie A goals so far.
“If he continues like this, Roma could win the Scudetto.”
