Stefano Pioli’s agent assures that “Inter are very happy with his work”, and says signing Roberto Gagliardini was the Coach’s idea.

Pioli replaced Frank de Boer on the Nerazzurri bench earlier this season, and has put them back into Champions League contention.

However, with a contract which only runs until June 2018, the shadow of Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone looms large.

“He’s definitely very happy at Inter, he feels 100 per cent integrated,” Bruno Satin told calciomercato.com.

However, with a contract which only runs until June 2018, the shadow of Atletico Madrid Coach Diego Simeone looms large.

“He’s definitely very happy at Inter, he feels 100 per cent integrated,” Bruno Satin told calciomercato.com.

“He’s doing an amazing job in bringing Inter back into contention for a Champions League place. We have to add to this that he has a contract and Inter are very happy with his work.”

Satin also discussed the recent transfer window, which saw a number of departures and the arrival of Atalanta’s Roberto Gagliardini.

“Stefano is certainly satisfied, the primary objective was to trim the squad. He wanted to have a decent number of players to work with and they were successful in that.

“Stefano is grateful to Inter for having made the effort to get Gagliardini. He was the player he most wanted to fix the midfield, and he’s Italian too so it helps the club from that point of view.”
