Nico Gonzalez ‘still needs to have his medical’ with Fiorentina, confirmed the Argentina international’s agent, so the transfer from VfB Stuttgart is not complete.
A deal has been struck between the two clubs and the 23-year-old has also agreed personal terms to join the Viola this summer.
It is believed to be a fee worth circa €25m, a club record for Fiorentina for the wide attacker.
“I remain prudent, as he still needs to have his medical, and that is a very important element, especially in the context of the pandemic,” agent Jose Titolo told Radio Colonia in Argentina.
“Fiorentina are restructuring, they’ve been taken over by an Italian-American and they hope to get back to the heights they reached in the 1980s.
“I see Gonzalez able to play as a centre-forward as well as a wide man, he can do it very well.”
Gonzalez won’t be able to have his medical yet, as he is taking part in the Copa America with Argentina.
He made quite an impact, contributing two goals and one assist in just seven senior caps.
