Carlos Bacca’s agent reiterates that his client won’t leave Milan – “he believes in the project”.
The Colombian striker laughed off rumours he could leave San Siro after just one season, and his representative was similarly dismissive.
“I had no doubt that Bacca would explode in Serie A,” Sergio Barila told Radio Crc.
“He had trouble adapting at first, now he’s going through his best period which has coincided with that of the team.

“He had trouble adapting at first, now he’s going through his best period which has coincided with that of the team.
“He’s not just a goalscorer, he’s an assist man too, he sacrifices himself for the team. Winning the Coppa Italia is an objective for Carlos and the club, it’s not a coincidence he chose Milan.
“Sevilla was a winning team, he could have stayed there and played in the Champions League but he believed in the Milan project.
“It’s a great club, and not just because of the past. Carlos wants to win and get into Europe with Milan.”
The Rossoneri face Napoli at San Paolo on Monday night, and Barila is expecting an improved performance compared to the 4-0 defeat at San Siro in October.
“At San Paolo you’ll see a different Milan to the first leg, the team is in good form, their best of the season.
“For Bacca, Napoli is an opponent like any other because he’s a professional and prepares well for every game.
“Could he have joined Napoli? My professionalism means I can’t name any names, but I can say that it wasn’t only Milan who wanted him.
“Carlos chose the Rossoneri.”
