Fiorentina patron Andrea Della Valle “won’t hold back” on the transfer market to keep them top of the table.
The Viola fought back from 2-0 down for a 2-2 draw with Empoli in the Tuscan Derby this afternoon and could be overtaken by Inter.
“With a little more luck we would’ve taken the full result home, though Empoli did put in a fine performance,” Della Valle told reporters.

“We have some important young players and will see what Inter do tonight.
“As for the market, my directors are already at work and they constantly travel around Europe. We need to reinforce the squad and we won’t hold back.
“Do we prefer to focus on Serie A or Europe? I think I can say the domestic League is first. Today we again saw entertainment and results, in the second half it was a great Fiorentina.”
Della Valle also confirmed reports that Vincenzo Montella agreed to terminate his contract by mutual consent by giving the buy-out clause to charity.
“We wish him all the best.”
