The mayor of Naples responds to Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis – ‘he’s never even put €1 into the San Paolo’.

“He says: ‘the San Paolo is a toilet’. Well, he’s done nothing to fix the toilet, he – unlike other Presidents – hasn’t put in even €1, but he found the money to do other deals [buying Bari].
“In terms of the contract, we had a meeting and then the next day he changed his mind. The stadium belongs to the city, there’s never been an offer [to buy it].
“A new stadium? He opposed us, we’re talking about nothing. He should be happy – as he is on even-numbered days – about the work done on the San Paolo.”
