Milan full-back Ignazio Abate is reportedly wanted by Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy.
The defender is out of contract in June 2019, but it’s expected that he’ll move on this summer.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, LA Galaxy are interested in bringing him to MLS, where he’d link up with former teammate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Much like Ibra though he wouldn’t be a Designated Player, as all three slots are already occupied by Romain Alessandrini, Giovani dos Santos and Jonathan dos Santos.

That means he would not be exempt from the salary cap of $4.035m per team as Sebastian Giovinco is at Toronto FC.
