Milan full-back Ignazio Abate has praised teammate Mattia De Sciglio after the youngster's impressive performances this season.
The Primavera product has been playing in place of the injured 26-year-old, but has claimed he is a player who is 'going places'.
“Mattia is doing well,” he told Milan Channel. “He is growing both defensively and offensively.
“But now comes the hard part. He is a head on his shoulders though and is definitely a player going places.
“I think the competition is normal in a great team – it would be a problem if there wasn't any.”
He also commented on the Rossoneri's recent upsurge in form after their poor start.
“We are in a positive period at the moment,” he said. “We have to try and make the most of it and claim as many points as possible.
“We lost so many games and too many away from home, but we will try to give our best between now and Christmas.”
