Former Serie A keeper Fernando Orsi says Mario Balotelli has a ‘final chance’ to prove doubters wrong at Genoa and feels the Grifone ‘need’ the ex-Inter and Milan star.

Balotelli is expected to undergo medical tests with Genoa on Monday.

The Serie A strugglers have only won one game this season and collected just two points in the last five games. Today, they visit Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.

Ex-Serie A keeper says Balotelli has ‘final chance’ at Genoa

Andrea Pinamonti starts up front, and Orsi, a Sky Sport Italia pundit, feels that the ex-Sassuolo striker has the skill set to partner Balotelli in the next games.

“They can play together. Balotelli is a bit more static, and Pinamonti moves around him,” said Orsi.

“Right now, Genoa need someone like Balotelli, who wants to prove he’s still a good fit to play in this kind of league.

“It’s a gamble, but I feel he has more experience and maturity now, so this is a final chance to prove doubters wrong.”
