Reports Thiago Motta cancelled Juventus training after Stuttgart

Juventus suffered their first loss of the 2024-25 campaign, and their first competitive game since Thiago Motta was appointed, at home to Stuttgart in the Champions League, conceding to El Bilal Toure in the 92nd minute.

Outlets in Italy have described the loss as Juve’s worst performance of the season so far, which comes as a concern with several key players ruled out ahead of the trip to Inter in Serie A on Sunday.

In order to regroup from the disappointment against Stuttgart, Thiago Motta reportedly cancelled the recovery training session he had planned for Wednesday morning, according to updates from Calciomercato.com

The Bianconeri coach reportedly wanted to take a day to reflect on where things went wrong in the Champions League and to plan for the Derby d’Italia in Serie A at the weekend.

Thiago Motta then called his players back in for a group dinner on Wednesday evening, so they could assess and reflect on the Stuttgart game together and to rekindle the team spirit after their first defeat of the campaign.
