Italy Under-21 international Cesare Casadei is struggling to get playing time at Chelsea, so reports are emerging of a potential Fiorentina, Atalanta or Villarreal loan move in January.

The 21-year-old midfielder was a product of the Inter youth academy and made the big move to London for €14.86m plus bonuses in the summer of 2022.

However, after loan spells at Reading and Leicester City, he has managed just two appearances for Chelsea this season between the Conference League and Carabao Cup.

Much as he might insist that he wants to remain under the guidance of new coach Enzo Maresca, Casadei risks having his career stall sitting on the packed Blues bench.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, his new agents are Epic Sports Italy, who are already looking around for a club that can take him on loan in January.

Villarreal are showing a strong interest, while in Serie A he could be given a chance to shine at Fiorentina or Atalanta, who were both already linked over the summer.
