Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso and his family were at the Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday to witness Jannik Sinner become the first Italian male single tennis player to win the US Open.

Sinner made history for Italian tennis on Sunday, becoming the first male single player to win the US Open.

The 23-year-old had already won the Australia Open in January.

Sinner beat the American Taylor Fritz 3-0 at a sold-out Arthur Ashe Stadium on Sunday.
