Check out the best XI made up of Italy players based on this weekend’s ratings from Serie A and the rest of Europe’s top divisions.
There was a set of strong performances from Azzurri players at home and abroad, largely led by the cohort at Inter following Friday’s 4-0 demolition of Atalanta. Nicolo Barella and Federico Dimarco ended the week as the highest rated Italian players anywhere in Europe.
Alessandro Bastoni was also included, although there were a number of other centre-backs with the same rating, including Nerzzurri teammate Francesco Acerbi, Napoli’s Alessandro Buongiorno and Como’s Alberto Dossena.
In the end, Juve’s Federico Gatti and Leicester City’s Caleb Okoli made the cut with ratings of 7.
Monza goalscorer Daniel Maldini joins Barella and Bologna‘s Giovanni Fabbian in a midfield three. Mattia Zanotti, who joined Lugano from Inter this summer, lines up on the opposite flank to Dimarco.
The two goalscoring Italian strikers also make the cut this week; Moise Kean following Fiorentina’s 2-2 draw with Monza, and Ciro Immobile with his penalty goal in Besiktas’s 2-0 win over Sivasspor.
