While there are reports Lazio could still get Mason Greenwood after the Mayor slammed his Olympique Marseille move, now Olympique Lyonnais also ask Manchester United for the controversial player.

The forward is persona non grata at Old Trafford after he was charged with attacking his girlfriend, but after she decided to drop the charges, some are prepared to give him another chance.

He impressed on loan with Getafe and is now looking for another experience abroad.

Greenwood bidding war

Olympique Marseille out-bid Lazio, offering a reported €27.6m plus €4m in add-ons and up to 50 per cent of the future sale fee.

However, Sky Sport Italia claim that the deal is stalled because the Mayor of Marseille slammed the idea of signing Greenwood with his history last night.

They believe that it could let Lazio back into the running, especially now they know the specific asking price that Manchester United will accept.

Meanwhile, Footmercato maintain that there is a third club in the running, as Olympique Lyonnais are also asking after the former England international who turns 23 in October.
