Antonio Conte has made it clear that Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will play a key role in his new Napoli project, despite the increased offer from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 54-year-old Italian coach officially put pen to paper on his three-year contract with the Partenopei on Wednesday, confirming his new project in the Campania capital. Reports have suggested that there’s no exit or release clauses present in the deal.

Conte is now ready to start building a new era at Napoli and will closely plan the summer transfer market with president Aurelio De Laurentiis and sporting director Giovanni Manna. Whilst there’s an acceptance that victor Osimhen will depart, things are different for Kvaratskhelia.

The Parisian giants have prepared a deal worth around €110m, but Napoli have no intention of selling and are in close contact with his agent Mamuka Jugeli to set up a new contract, keen to raise his salary.
