Stefano Pioli will have to find a way to patch together his Milan defence as four first team regulars are unavailable for the Serie A clash with Juventus.

The Rossoneri are in a miserable spot as the 2023-24 season starts to draw to a close, having to watch intercity rivals Inter win a historic 20th Scudetto, earning them the second star on their shirts. Pioli’s side were unable to stop the party on Monday night, falling in a 2-1 derby loss.

Milan fans are expecting sweeping changes in the summer in response to the difficulties of this campaign and Pioli is set to be dismissed at the end of the season, with possible replacements including Mark van Bommel, Paulo Fonseca and Xavi.

Milan defensive crisis

MilanNews.it highlights how the Rossoneri are facing serious problems in defence for their upcoming clash with Juventus, unable to count on Theo Hernandez, Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu.

Whilst the latter is out with an injury, the former three all picked up suspensions in the Derby della Madonnina, ruling them out of the upcoming trip to Turin on April 27th.
