Napoli coach Francesco Calzona admits the Partenopei are ‘fragile’ and insists defence is not the main problem.

The Partenopei boss spoke to DAZN after a 3-0 home loss at the Stadio Maradona. Napoli’s loss means their hopes to qualify for next season’s Champions League are practically over as they are nine points below 4th-placed Bologna, but the Rossoblu have a game in hand.

“There are merits from a strong side, but also our demerits. We are fragile and it’s not okay.

“We have fewer chances to qualify for the Champions League, but we must continue looking forward and improve. The problem is not the defensive line; the whole team is struggling.

“Everyone is aware of Napoli’s issues. Three coaches and many players have changed, and they would have needed a more linear situation. This is why they haven’t been effective much. There is an enormous difference from last season, but unfortunately, we can do nothing about it.”
