Pasquale Mazzocchi will replace the injured Giovanni Di Lorenzo in Napoli’s away game at Cagliari.

It kicks off at 14:00 GMT. It is Francesco Calzona’s Serie A debut as a first-team coach. The 55-year-old secured a 1-1 draw against Barcelona in his first game in charge of the Partenopei on Wednesday.

The defending champions must cope without the suspended Di Lorenzo and the injured Cyril Ngonge, but Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Matteo Politano will start in a front-three.

Piotr Zielinski is expected to return to the starting XI, joining Stanislav Lobotka and André Zambo Anguissa, and the only doubt for Calzona seems to be on the left-hand-side of the defence with Mathias Olivera favourite over Mario Rui.

Cagliari are desperate for points as they only earned one in the last four matches. Napoli loanee Gianluca Gaetano, scorer of two goals in the latest two outings, will start in central midfield. Gianluca Lapadula and Zito Luvumbo are expected to start in attack.

Cagliari-Napoli, probable line-ups

Cagliari (4-3-1-2): Scuffet; Nandez, Mina, Dossena, Augello; Makoumbou, Prati, Gaetano; Viola; Luvumbo, Lapadula.

Napoli (4-3-3): Meret; Mazzocchi, Rrahmani, Juan Jesus, Olivera; Anguissa, Lobotka, Zielinski; Politano, Osimhen, Kvaratskhelia.
