Thiago Motta has made just once change to his Bologna side that beat Lazio last weekend for the visit of Hellas Verona on Friday evening, as Dan Ndoye comes into the starting line-up in place of Milan loanee Alexis Saelemaekers and Remo Freuler replaces Oussama El Azzouzi.
Bologna and Motta have a near full squad available to them for Friday evening’s game. Adama Soumaro is the only absentee for the Rossoblu, as he sits this one out with a knee injury.
Verona are also without Juan Manuel Cruz through injury. Tijjani Noslin has made the cut, but he was a doubt heading into the build-up as reported on Friday morning.
A win for Bologna on Friday evening will see them rise into fourth place and into the Champions League positions.
Atalanta, who are currently fourth and level on points with Bologna currently have a game in hand, which will briefly become two in hand until Sunday evening, when Gian Piero Gasperini’s side face Milan in San Siro.
Victory on Friday evening will also be enormously beneficial to Verona. Three points will lift them out of the relegation zone and into 14th place in the Serie A table, pending results from the other nine matches scheduled for this weekend.
Kick-off at the Dall’Ara is set for 19.45 GMT.
Bologna (4-2-3-1): Skorupski; Posch, Beukema, Lucumi, Kristiansen; Fabbian, Freuler; Orsolini, Ferguson, Ndoye; Zirkzee.
Hellas Verona (4-3-2-1): Montipò; Centonze, Dawidowicz, Magnani, Cabal; Folorunsho, Duda, Serdar; Suslov, Swiderszki; Noslin.
