Reports from Spain claim that Barcelona are looking to make a serious move for Milan winger Rafael Leao in the summer.
The Blaugrana are gearing up to lose coach Xavi at the end of the season and are planning to invest in two specific areas of the squad, wanting a physical central midfielder and a talented winger who can make the difference when it counts.
Leao has struggled to prove particularly prolific for Milan this season but has still shown a number of positives, scoring six goals and providing nine assists in 28 appearances across all competitions. Last summer, he penned a new contract with the club lasting to June 2028.
As reported by Spanish outlet Sport, Barcelona have already started to look around for high-profile wingers, requesting information about Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane, but their top choice is Leao, who was previously targeted in the past.
The 24-year-old, who is open to a possible departure in the summer, reportedly does not want to return to Ligue 1 despite the interest of Paris Saint-Germain and would prefer a club in the Premier League or La Liga.
