After every hit a standstill due to financial limitations, Leicester City are now ready to finalise the deal for Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi, Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

The Foxes have already agreed to sign the 28-year-old Italian midfielder from the Nerazzurri in a definitive transfer worth around €2m plus add-ons linked to the player’s appearances and the team’s promotion to the Premier League.

Leicester coach Enzo Maresca told reporters earlier this month that the club were unable to finalise any transfers at that moment due to financial limitations, making it clear to the press that ‘we can’t spend money, we aren’t allowed.’

As reported by Di Marzio, Cesare Casadei’s return from Leicester to Chelsea has allowed the Foxes to move forward for Sensi, as the savings of the youngster’s salary unblocks their spending, giving them the green light to close the deal for the Inter midfielder.

Sensi has hardly featured for the Nerazzurri this term, seeing just 65 minutes of action across four matches. His contract with the Italian side expires in the summer.
