A duel in Florence sees in-form sides Fiorentina and Bologna battle it out for a spot in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.

The match between the Viola and the Rossoblu kicks off at 20.00 UK time at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence.

Fiorentina had to fight hard to reach the Coppa Italia quarter-finals, beating Parma 6-3 on penalties after netting two late goals to tie things up in regular time.

The Viola cannot count on Dodo, Gaetano Castrovilli, Riccardo Sottil and Nicolas Gonzalez, all of whom are sidelined with injuries.

Bologna’s Coppa Italia campaign has been far lengthier – Thiago Motta’s side started out in the first round, where they beat Cesena 2-0, before beating Hellas Verona 2-0 and Inter 2-1 after extra time.

The Rossoblu are without the injured Adama Soumaoro, Dan Ndoye and Jesper Karlsson.

Both teams have been in strong form in Serie A this term, with Fiorentina sitting fourth on 33 points and Bologna just a point behind in fifth, letting both sides dream of a spot in the Champions League.

When they met in the league back in November, Fiorentina secured a 2-1 win at home after goals from Giacomo Bonaventura and Gonzalez. Joshua Zirkzee found the back of the net for the Rossoblu that afternoon.

The winner of this match will face either Atalanta or Milan in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
