Napoli are still without Victor Osimhen, but change system against struggling Empoli to a 4-2-3-1 with Giacomo Raspadori, Giovanni Simeone and no Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.
It kicks off at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona at 11.30 GMT.
The mood in the Partenopei camp is mixed, as after the 2-0 win away to Salernitana, they fumbled the lead to draw with Union Berlin in the Champions League midweek.
Osimhen is back in town, but still out injured, while Diego Demme is not fully fit either.
Natan returns from suspension, yet is on the bench in favour of Leo Ostigard.
The big shock is the change of system to 4-2-3-1, which sees Raspadori behind Simeone, but remarkably with both Kvaratskhelia and Piotr Zielinski sent to the bench.
It could also be a 4-3-3 with Eljif Elmas in midfield and Raspadori in the wider role that he has said he doesn’t appreciate as much.
There was another change during the warm-up when Alex Meret pulled up with a calf problem, making way for Pierluigi Gollini.
Empoli are in penultimate place and coming off back-to-back defeats against Atalanta and Frosinone.
The big loss is Italy Under-21 international Tommaso Baldanzi, who sprained his ankle, joining Sebastian Walukiewicz and Giuseppe Pezzella on the absentee list.
