Italian talent Destiny Udogie was shown a red card in Tottenham’s Premier League duel with Chelsea, capping off a tough night for the left back.

The 20-year-old has been a core part of Ange Postecoglou’s high-flying side in North London this season following his arrival from Udinese. He saw 733 minutes of action across the first nine Premier League matches of the term before missing the win over Crystal Palace through injury.

Udogie looks set to be one of the players that’ll fully break into Luciano Spalletti’s Italy squad in the coming months ahead of next summer’s European Championship.

In the ever-tense matchup with Chelsea, Udogie did not have a good night at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. He committed a dangerous looking foul in the first half and was lucky to avoid red, but lady luck wouldn’t strike again in the second half.

The 20-year-old Italian was shown a second yellow card in the 55th minute, leaving Spurs with just nine men for the remainder of the match after Christian Romero’s first-half sending off.

  1. not a good player. Never rated him. Lacks touch, lacks positioning and football IQ in general. Not amazing technique overall.
