Various details have emerged regarding Milan’s plans for their new stadium after a document was delivered to the San Donato municipality.
La Repubblica via Calcio e Finanza details how the Rossoneri and company SportLifeCity have drawn up a 300-page document discussing their plans for the stadium and the surrounding areas, which are they expect will increase the quality of life of the surrounding area in San Donato.
The plan is to create a true entertainment district, which’ll feature a large square for public use, flanked by buildings on all four sides.
The buildings will be the Milan headquarters, the Rossoneri club museum, a megastore and a hotel with approximately 200 rooms. Various other shops and restaurants will also be around the district.
Milan and SportLifeCity have also included transportation plans in the document, ranging from foot and cycle paths to two large car parks.
The documents also confirm the intention to build a 70,000-seater stadium in San Donato, but two alternatives were included – 60,000-seat facility at San Siro, the Cathedral project shared with Inter, and a 70,000-seater stadium in the La Maura area.
