Lautaro Martinez’s agent is reportedly expected to arrive in Italy later this month to officially start contract renewal talks with Inter.

The 26-year-old Argentine forward is the undisputed star of the Nerazzurri squad and has continued to shine under Simone Inzaghi this season, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists across the first 10 Serie A games of the term.

Lautaro is already one of the highest earners in the Inter squad, earning €6m net per season, and has less than three years left on his current deal, pushing the club to move to protect their star asset.

As reported by Sky Sports Italia via TMW, Lautaro’s agent Alejandro Camano will arrive in Italy by the end of November to start contract negotiations with Inter, with both parties keen to agree a new long-term deal.

The Nerazzurri are also working on shoring up the other assets in their squad, starting with Nicolo Barella. Other players will also receive new deals, such as Federico Dimarco, Henrick Mkhitaryan and Denzel Dumfries.
