The Aquile’s tough run of fixtures continues as these Milan vs. Laziopredictions show. Last season’s runners-up have had a shocking start to the season and sit in the bottom half of the table ahead of their trip to the San Siro.

Milan vs. Lazio odds

1 – A draw at full-time – 11/4

2 – Both teams to score – 4/5

3 – Over 2.5 goals – 28/29

4 – Milan to score first– 13/10

5 – Milan to win – 17/10

Milan welcome Lazio to the San Siro on Saturday hoping to build on an improved period of form. The Rossoneri’s big summer overhaul is showing signs of progress, although Stefano Pioli has plenty of work still to do.

The home side’s challenges seem insignificant in comparison to Lazio’s early season struggles though. Maurizio Sari’s had to deal with a number of changes in the transfer window, with figurehead Sergej Milinkovic-Savic leaving and Matteo Guendouzi, Nicolo Rovella and Daichi Kamada all coming in.

Unfortunately for the Aquile, the new arrivals have failed to provide the goalscoring threat of their predecessor and, as a result, Lazio have struggled to break down their opponents. Furthermore, a defensive partnership of Alessio Romagnoli and Nicolò Casale that looked so resolute last season has struggled to keep a clean sheet in the opening weeks.

Lazio have been particularly vulnerable in the early stages of matches this season, conceding in the first half in almost all of their first six matches. A wager on Milan to score first this weekend may be worth a punt, with the Rossoneri also favourites to go on and win the game.

The visitors have plenty of firepower to get back into the game should they go behind though. Ciro Immobile and Luis Alberto are both off the mark already this season, with the former scoring, on average, every other game against Milan in Serie A fixtures.

With both sides boasting attacking prowess, neutrals should be in for an entertaining game at the San Siro on Saturday. Matches between these two sides have typically been high-scoring affairs, with three goals scored on average per game over the last six encounters. As a result, we predict a similar goal-fest this weekend, with over 2.5 goals scored and both teams to score a recommended bet.

Milan team news

Mike Maignan remains sidelined for Milan, with Rade Krunic adding to an injury list that already includes Ismael Bennacer and Pierre Kalulu. The Rossoneri are expected to revert to a midfield three, with one of Yacine Adli or Tommaso Pobega likely to be handed a start.

Lazio team news

Maurizio Sarri is likely to retain his usual line-up, despite a tough midweek fixture against Torino. Fortunately for the coach, Luca Pellegrini returned against Monza and may start at the weekend, with Felipe Anderson and Matias Vecino also looking to make the first-choice XI.
