Two of Serie A’s best performing teams of the season face off in these Juventus vs. Leccepredictions. Both sides have begun well and will be keen to continue their strong form on Wednesday.
1 – Juventus to win – 4/9
2 – Both teams to score – 6/5
3 – Over 1.5 goals scored – 3/10
4 – Lecce to score a penalty – 10/1
5 –A draw at full-time – 7/2
Juventus welcome Lecce to the Allianz Stadium on Wednesday, looking to continue their strong start to the season. With no Champions League football, the Old Lady has been able to focus on the Serie A campaign.
The reduced schedule will significantly benefit the Bianconeri, who struggled with squad depth at times last season. This time around, however, a comparatively large squad for a league campaign will give them the edge in this midweek fixture against Lecce, with our tip on the hosts to win on Wednesday.
Even so, with the season still in its infancy, there will be little need for Roberto D’Aversa to rotate heavily, especially with another international break on the horizon. Given their remarkable start to the season, the visitors are expected to provide a tough test for Juventus, and will be boosted by Federico Baschirotto, who will be fresh having missed the weekend fixture through suspension.
Not only will the Salentini look to be strong defensively, but they will provide an attacking threat throughout. Lecce have scored in their first four games and appear to have uncovered a gem in summer signing Nikola Krstovic. A wager on both teams to get on the scoresheet this weekend offers good odds given the Montenegrin’s three goals already.
Monday’s 1-1 draw against Monza was the first time that Lecce failed to score multiple goals this season, meaning a wager on over 1.5 goals scored at the Allianz Stadium may therefore pay off. One reason for D’Aversa’s side’s goalscoring success has been their ability to win penalties, with one in each of their last two games.
With Juventus looking solid defensively so far this campaign, a spot kick may well offer the visitors the best chance of scoring on Wednesday. Should they do so, a wager on a draw could provide a high-odds return.
