The Neroverdi are in for a tough weekend as these Sassuolo vs. Juventuspredictions show. With three defeats from four games Alessio Dionisi’s side will not be looking forward to the visit of an in-form Bianconeri.
1 – Juventus to win – 19/20
2 – Vlahovic to score first – 5/1
3 – Federico Chiesa to score anytime – 44/17
4 – Over 2.5 goals scored – 3/4
5 – Juventus to win by one goal – 3/1
Juventus will be looking to keep up their spell of strong form as they travel east to face Sassuolo this weekend. The Old Lady have made an unbeaten start to their Serie A campaign and come into this match off the back of an impressive win over Lazio last weekend.
This season started clouded in negativity for Max Allegri’s side, as a quiet summer transfer window was exacerbated by UEFA’s decision to ban them from European football following an FFP violation. However, four games in and the mood has decidedly changed at the Allianz Stadium, with bookmakers backing Juventus for a win.
The Bianconeri’s significant improvement is demonstrated by the remarkable turnaround in the form of Dusan Vlahovic. Following a poor output last season, the forward was heavily linked with a move away over the summer. But having decided to stay in Turn, he has bagged four goals already – half of last season’s total. Vlahovic is therefore our tip to score first this weekend.
Another player revitalised is Federico Chiesa. Off the back of a serious injury, the winger struggled to find form last season, with no natural position in Allegri’s favoured 3-5-2 formation. Evidently, training over the summer has paid off, as Chiesa is thriving in his new role alongside Vlahovic and has scored three goals himself so far. With the Italian enjoying the new strike partnership, we back Chiesa to score anytime against Sassuolo.
Sassuolo may be concerned about the ruthlessness of Juventus’ attacking duo that put three past a solid Lazio team last weekend. They have good reason to be worried, as the Neroverdi capitulated last weekend against Frosinone, throwing away a two-goal lead to lose 4-2. Looking at recent form, we may be in for another high-scoring game this weekend, with a wager on over 2.5 goals scored offering good odds.
Despite the signs pointing to a heavy victory in Juventus’ favour, Sassuolo tend to up their game for matches against the Serie A giants. In fact, across their last five meetings, the Bianconeri have only beaten the Neroverdi by one goal on three occasions. A bet therefore on a narrow away win against current form could well pay off.

Sassuolo (4-4-2): Cragno; Toljan, Erlic, Tressoldi, Vina; Berardi, Boloca, Henrique, Lauriente; Pinamonti, Bajrami
Juventus (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Danilo; McKennie, Miretti, Locatelli, Rabiot, Cambiaso; Chiesa, Vlahovic
Alessio Dionisi may look to switch things up following his team’s defeat to Frosinone. The coach could revert to a more familiar 4-3-3 formation, bringing Kristian Thorstvedt back into the starting XI to balance out the midfield.
Few changes are expected from Max Allegri following a dominant display at Lazio. Weston McKennie was particularly impressive at right fullback, while Fillip Kostic and Andrea Cambiaso will fight it out for a start on the opposing flank. Mattia De Sciglio remains sidelined through injury.
