Reports suggest that Genoa have agreed a deal with Galatasaray for midfielder Berkan Kutlu, who will arrive in Italy tonight.

The Ligurian outfit have shined under coach Alberto Gilardino and have worked hard to add the right reinforcements to his squad this summer to help them survive their fight season back in the topflight.

Genoa invested around €12m into Argentine-Italian striker Mateo Retegui, who has scored three goals and provided one assist in his first three appearances for the club. They’ve also picked up Ruslan Malinovskyi and Kevin Strootman.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Genoa accelerated for Kutlu after their efforts to sign Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele fell flat, pushing them to agree a deal with Galatasaray.

The 25-year-old Turkish midfielder has already agreed personal terms with the Rossoblu and will arrive in the Liguria capital tonight ahead of his medicals.

During his two years with Galatasaray, Kutlu scored one goal and provided five assists across 84 total appearances, impressing as a defensive midfielder.
