Marseille midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has landed at the Ciampino airport in Rome and is expected to undergo a medical in the coming hours before officially signing his contract with Lazio.
The 24-year-old, draped in a Biancocelesti scarf, was filmed making his way out of the airport gates before saying hello to a crowd of supporters who had waited to welcome him to the city.
The former Arsenal midfielder is expected to join Maurizio Sarri’s side on an initial loan deal at a cost of €1m with an obligation to buy for €12m. Marseille will also hold a 10% sell-on clause.
