Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will miss the first game of the season against Frosinone due to a slight muscle injury.
Sky Sport Italia and DAZN claim the Georgian star won’t be available when the Partenopei meet the newly promoted Frosinone at the Stadio Stirpe tomorrow, Saturday, August 19.
Kvara is dealing with muscle fatigue and will therefore remain in Naples to recover his best fitness.
Serie A kicks off tomorrow with Frosinone-Napoli at 18:30 CEST and Empoli-Hellas Verona at the same time.
The opening two games will be followed by Genoa-Fiorentina and Inter-Monza, both at 20:45 CEST.
Kvara was instrumental to Napoli’s first Serie A title in 33 years in 2022-23, scoring 12 goals and delivering 13 assists in 34 league matches.
The likes of Eljif Elmas or Giacomo Raspadori are expected to replace the Georgian star on Napoli’s left-wing at Frosinone.
New Napoli boss Rudi Garcia will speak at a pre-match press conference at 12:30 today.
