Reports from Spain suggest that Napoli have agreed a deal with Celta Vigo for Gabri Veiga and are now working on finalising the transfer.

The Partenopei identified the talented 21-year-old midfielder as one of their primary targets this summer and have been in close contact with the Spanish side in recent weeks.

Napoli have submitted multiple offers for Veiga, including one worth €33m including add-ons, but they were all rejected, pushing them to further increase their terms.

As reported by Spanish outlet Relevo, Napoli have agreed to pay Celta Vigo around €36-37m plus €5m in add-ons for Veiga. A 10% future resale clause will also be included.

Celta Vigo are keen to finalise a deal as soon as possible, wanting to immediately reinvest in a goalkeeper, a midfielder and a striker.

Things are expected to be fully completed this week, allowing Veiga to start quickly integrating into Rudi Garcia’s Napoli squad ahead of the season opener against Frosinone on August 19.
