Lazio are increasing their offer for Torino midfielder Samuele Ricci, a specific request put forward by coach Maurizio Sarri.

The Aquile finally kick-started their transfer strategy today with a €10m plus bonuses deal for Midtjylland attacking winger Gustav Isaksen.

Now they are also said to be in negotiations for Ricci, the player specifically requested by coach Sarri to replace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

According to Tuttosport newspaper, the latest proposal is worth circa €20m plus €3-4m in add-ons.

The asking price set by Toro is reported to be €25-30m, so although they are not quite there yet, it is a significant step forward.

Ricci turns 22 later this month and has two senior Italy caps to his name, after becoming a regular for the Under-21 side with 17 appearances.

His contract with Torino runs to June 2026 and he was purchased from Empoli in 2022 for a total of €9.5m.

He made 32 competitive appearances for Toro last season, contributing two goals and one assist.
