Napoli are considering sending out defender Leo Ostigard on loan this summer in order for him to continue his development with regular playing time.

The 23-year-old Norwegian centre back joined the Partenopei last summer from Brighton and Hove Albion in a deal worth around €5m.

He struggled to break into Luciano Spalletti’s squad during Napoli’s Scudetto winning campaign, seeing just 695 minutes of action across 11 appearances in all competitions.

Page eight of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport highlights how Napoli have started to receive some loan offers for Ostigard, which they’re debating accepting so he can continue his development.

Should they decide to let the 23-year-old leave, the club could pick up Udinese’s Jaka Bijol to strengthen their backline.

In the meantime, Napoli are preparing to lose star centre back Kim Min-Jae to Bayern Munich. The Bavarian giants are ready to pay his €50m release clause, and Atalanta’s Giorgio Scalvini could be brought in to replace him.
